Founded in 2000, the Porter Academy, of Roswell, Ga. specializes in teaching students with learning differences. Our goal is to help each child appreciate and use his or her strengths to build self-confidence and to acquire the academic and social skills, the knowledge, the motivation, and the work habits needed to succeed elsewhere.
With the advent of the Georgia Special Needs Scholarship program,(SB10), Porter Academy is at capacity. In addition to our main building, we use three portable classrooms. The new addition would replace the "portables" as well as provide additional classrooms, a multipurpose room for occupational therapy, physical education, a place for sensory integration, art, music therapy, and drama.
We Need Your Help
We expect the cost of the addition to be approximately $600,000. The expansion will provide the space we need to properly meet the needs of unique children who have not found learning success or acceptance elsewhere
Our small private school promises a special return for those who look to help.
For each incremental dollar amount donated the return on investment increases. Not only are you enhancing the life of another, but you are building opportunities for many to come.
